You don't lose anything if you die (except for items that you used during the battle) and you can avoid most battles (both wild nexomons and tamer challenges) if you want to keep you HP and Stamina full till the boss. If you try to collect nexomons and do that for some time before progressing in each story part then you don't even have to go out of your way to level up your main nexomons as all areas scale and you get reasonable exp no matter where you farm for new nexomons. It takes a little exp farming to keep those few nexomons at slightly higher level than the enemy and you can always just capture a new one which will be at enemy level and then level it up a little.

Later story battles consist of more than one nexomon, but because of the previous battles that required just one you should already have several of them leveled up. After you try the battle once you can prepare a single nexomon of an opposing element, level it up few levels and you will be fine. Seriously though, the game can be hard only if you go in into boss fights blindly without knowing what nexomons they will use. Regardless, indie devs have clearly been listening and for that I'm thankful.

Others are entitled to have differing opinions from you, and maybe if so many people are complaining, Nintendo should idk, try changing something after 2 decades of remaking the same game. I appreciate the information about nexomon, but do yourself a favor and drop the tantrum. You can also equip your Nexomon with up to four 'cores', they work like the held items in Pokémon. Also, there's a stamina system that's shared across ALL your moves, making a lot easier and faster to lose your stamina (you can still spam moves, as long as you have enough stamina to use them). Considering the plenty of self-imposed challenges, as well as rom hacks and fan games that increase the difficulty, the complaints should be far less.Īs for Nexomon: Extinction, it IS hard, in the sense that Nexomon, both wild and trained, level up as you progress into the game, meaning you can grind anywhere you want. Also why are you randomly salty? Because of the INSANE number of times Pokémon fans complain about lack difficulty. I do play pokemon rom hacks but I don't see how that is relevant to my question about this game?. It sounds like this game has a reasonable difficulty from your description though. I love monster catching games but sadly indie games in the genre tend to just copy pokemon (including the bad parts).
